The MPWD Celebrates Our California Water Professionals!

As part of California’s ninth annual Water Professionals Appreciation Week, the MPWD salutes our water professionals who work tirelessly to ensure clean, reliable, and safe water for our community. We appreciate the dedication of our highly trained operators, technicians, specialists, customer service, and administration. Thank you for all you do!

Water Professionals Appreciation Week was established in 2017 by the California Legislature to spotlight the essential work of the nearly 60,000 water and wastewater professionals statewide. MPWD is honored to join the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) in this observance and extends gratitude to its staff for their service and dedication.

Whether it’s working with customers out in the field, collecting and analyzing samples in the lab, or shaping complex policies and regulations, there is a place in California’s water industry for anyone interested in managing and protecting this life-sustaining resource. A career in California water provides a great opportunity to earn a good living and make a difference in your community.
